When I first talked to my current mechanic, he made exactly the same comment. As I kept up with the comments in the forum, I noted that some people retuned the bike and kept the spacer in place. It almost seems 50/50. My decision, after a couple of conversations and feeling comfortable with him, was to let him do what he felt comfortable doing (new jet). The bike runs great and only occassionally burbs if I release the throttle real, real quick. Kinda gives the bike a little character. It never farts on shutdown, ever.

The more I hear, the luckier I feel having someone I trust to work on the bike.

Good luck and KTRSD
